Insoles are the interface between the rider and the stiff, power-transmitting outsole of the shoe. That's why you should pay special attention to them. However, every foot has an individual shape. Not only are there differences between different people, but the left or right foot of one and the same person also has special characteristics. This is exactly what the Shimano Custom-Fit insoles take into account.
A thermal shaping process is used to customize the insole and distribute the pressure more evenly when pedalling. This avoids peak loads and makes aching feet a thing of the past. The heel is also brought into an optimum position and additionally fixed in place, while enclosed arch inserts support the midfoot and provide sufficient cushioning in running passages.

In order to exploit the full potential of the sole, a thermal shaping at a Shimano sales partner is recommended. They have a CUSTOM-FIT insole molding tool, which ensures optimal adaptation to the shape of the foot.
